AEG Magazines

Airsoft AEG gun magazines are available in different capacities for many airsoft AEG guns. Low-Cap (Low-Capacity) and Mid-Cap magazines tend to feed the best because of the shorter spring, and more direct path for the BBs to travel through the magazine and into the gun. The designation of Low-Cap and Mid-Cap varies by manufacturer, but usually a Low-Cap magazine will more closely replicate the carrying capacity of the airsoft gun's real life counterpart, so these mags tend to hold 30 rounds, or less. Hi-Cap magazines hold many more BBs (usually 300+), and require the use of a winding wheel to load the spring tension so that the magazine can feed. This can be done with the magazine loaded into the gun, but requires the player to be on top of it, so that their partially-full magazine does not stop feeding because they forgot to wind it after firing a bunch of rounds. Hi-Cap Flash Mags eliminate teh winding wheel by using a pull cord to wind the magazine, making it much faster and convenient to wind. Mid-Cap airsoft mags are the most popular, because they offer reliable feeding with a decent carrying capacity of BBs, usually 100 - 200, or so.
