Paintball Barrels

Paintball Barrels

Do paintball barrels make a difference?

Probably the most important upgrade you can make to your out-of-the-box paintball gun, an aftermarket paintball gun barrel can improve your accuracy, and lower the firing sound signature of your paintball gun. With the exception of some high-end paintball guns like the Planet Eclipse Ego or Geo series, most paintball markers are not shipped with a good-quality paintball gun barrel, so this is your most affordable upgrade to improve the performance your paintball gun.

Why are paintball barrels ported?

If you want a quieter shot, look for a paintball gun barrel with plenty of ports or venting along its length. These ports are the holes drilled along the length of the barrel, and they allow the paintball barrel to vent the air propelling the paintball out of the barrel to disipate before reaching the end of the barrel, where otherwise the air would explode out the barrel all at once, making a much louder crack or bang noise.

What bore size paintball barrel is the best?

If you could only have one barrel, you should probably choose a bore size of .684 or .685. To give you the most flexibility, we recommend a barrel kit with multiple bore sizes, like those from Eclipse or HK Army.
